Splenda was used by a middle school student in a science fair experiment to see if Splenda tasted as good as sugar. Find more info at http://www.splenda.com or http://www.splendajourney.com.

Tips for Success

I have a science fair every year in my school. This is the first year that I have to do an experiment. I wanted to test if drinking from one water bottle continuous times is healthy, but i don’t know how to test it. I have until January, but I don’t wanna do anything long-term. I don’t want to test anything with plants either.
So my question is:
What science projects are not long-term, fun, and somewhat easy to do. I want it to be spectacular, but not to complex. =] Please help! Thanks!
try this: which brand of gum has the longest lasting flaVOR.

Need an idea for my science fair project?
I am participating in a Middle School Science Fair and am doing my project on tidal power. I need an idea for an experiment that I am capable of doing for the science fair. If you have any suggestions please answer!
an idea might be to build a small tidal style generator.
get a long, narrow tank. fasten a tidal generator that you design into one end of the tank. put a lever on the opposite end. add enough water to the tank with water to operate the generator and demonstrate your system.
the generator works by fastening one part of it to the bottom, and permitting the other part to float. the changing water depth turns the generator to produce power.
you could use a small plastic rack and pinion to generate the mechanical energy with a dc motor inside the float to convert the mechanical energy into electrical energy.
.
Middle School level. Easy-ish medium? Exciting ones. Thx
haha! hi. don’t give "fingerfood" a thumbs down
since you are a "music lover", why not try to show the science of music? example – how certain vibrations in the air caused by striking some object can be interpreted as a musical note. and how different notes put together in certain ways create chords and so on and so on. example: line up several bottles and fill with water to increasing levels and demonstrate how density can change the vibration, etc.
